Wasp Attack By:Ben Veltri
On a scorching sunny day my friends Madison and Sage came over to play at my house in my grassy green yard. We liked to explore so we always observe things that we pick up or we have not seen before. While exploring I found a rock that had crystals glistening from the burning sun, and I put it in my pocket. I picked up another with an edge as sharp as columbus’s sword, I decided to throw it as far as I could to test my arm throwing skills. I heard a bang and a plop to the ground, and then I heard buzzing. Our heads turned as fast as a human eye’s blink, wondering what could be creating this noise. But then we figured out what it was as a swarm yellow and black approached us. Only one word……..WASPS. I realized that we hit a wasps nest ,and as petrified as I was I said to Madison and Sage “RUN!” Madison and Sage darted as fast as I could scream help. Then I ran but running hard to extricate from, so I ran as hard as my little legs could take it, and tried to extricate from the wasps. I felt fatigue coming on because I had such a hard time running away from the continuous wasps following me, trailing me as if a mother fox was followed by her children. Madison and Sage finally found cover behind a bright green bush covered with violets, I on the other hand was behind. I said “someone please help me!” I screamed as my body started to get tired as if a computer was running out of battery. Madison and Sage came from behind the bush and made an eclipse on the bees to get them away from me, and now they were being chased by the little creatures who had a bodacious stinger that could hurt like a shot at the doctor. I had an abundance of thoughts in my head while catching my breath from the wasps. “I got it”! I exclaimed as my thoughts were diminishing from my continuous thinking. I remembered that I made a net with super glue all around so then it could catch the feisty type of bugs, which in this case were the wasps. I quickly ran into the fresh air-conditioned house, I got my net, and darted outside to Madison and Sage. “Its time to make drastic measures,” I said to myself. My feet were covered in the earth’s soil as I tried to catch up with the wasps pace; my hand swooped up from behind me. And then at full speed my hand came around and clobbered the wasps with the sticky glue. They were all buzzing quietly surprised by my surprise attack. They were all spread out on my clever invention, the wasps wings were rumpled and ripped apart. Madison and Sage had sweat trickling down their tired fatigued faces. Sage finally talked and said, “wow those wasps were so abrasive I couldn’t stand it!” Madison had nothing to say, tears were running down her red cheeks. “What’s wrong?” I said as I approached her with a confused expression on my face. “I got stung by those dreadful little beast’s,” Madison exclaimed. My heart was about to burst into little pieces, like a balloon popped by a needle. It was all my fault, the cause of Madison being stung was me. I said aloud, “I’m sorry Madison, I didn’t mean for this unfortunate event to cause.” Her bright blue eyes glistened in the sunlight looking at me in a sorrow way. Madison said, “Its ok I know you didn’t mean for this to happen.” I could tell she was being candid about it by the look on her face.
The rival had just ended, but next time I know to make more careful decisions when I’m outside in the nature, wasps are not meant to be toggled with, wasps are a threat to your life.
The End.
